Obituary of Michael Scott "Goose" Watkins
Michael Scott Watkins, age 26, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at his home in Crossville, Alabama. He was born on May 12, 1996, in Fort Payne, to Sean Jevon and Donna Hicks Watkins.
He is survived by his loving parents; sister Jessica Brown; grandmother Pamela Hicks of Walker County; and a plethora of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his granddad, Richard Larry Hicks of Walker County.
He attended grade school at West Jefferson Elementary in Jefferson County, he graduated Crossville High School in Dekalb County and went on to earn a degree in Welding Technology from Snead State. During his school years, he showcased his athletic abilities playing baseball and football.
He had many passions in life among them were bass fishing, martial arts, physical fitness, and spending time with family and friends. Throughout his entire life he held an unwavering faith in God, spending time studying his Bible. His favorite verse was Psalm 23 “…I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever”.
Visitation services will be held at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel, 2226 Shiloh Circle, Rainsville, Al 35986, on July 23, 2022 from 5-8 PM. Graveside services will be Sunday, July 24, 2022 at 3 PM at Walker’s Chapel Cemetery, 796 County Road 115, Fort Payne, Al 35967.
He will always be missed but we seek comfort knowing this is not goodbye. Until we meet again spread your wings and fly high, “Goose”. We love you.
