Obituary of Elizabeth Faye Jackson

Elizabeth Faye Moore Jackson, age 61, Collinsville, Alabama was born March 30, 1961, died Oct. 22, 2022. Funeral services are set for 11am Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from the W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with Bros. David Hairston and Donnie Jones officiating. Burial will be in Copeland’s Bridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7pm Monday at the funeral home. Surviving her: Spouse, Jonathan Jackson, Collinsville; son, Eric Jackson and daughter-in law, Heather Jackson of Cumming, Ga. Parents, Charles and Gail Jones Moore, Collinsville. Elizabeth was a strong Christian and an active member of Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She worked tirelessly in the programs of WMU, especially its shoebox Ministry through Operation Christmas Child. She was the craft leader in VBS for many years. Elizabeth was a member of DAR Hannah White Arnett Chapter. Museum of Collinsville History and Collinsville Historical Association benefited from her donations of items of historic value. She helped laminate fragile papers and organized all the files in the museum recently. She maintained records of CHS classes of Collinsville Alumni Association. Elizabeth used her employment at the CHS snack store as an opportunity to befriend many children, always with a listening ear and an eye for needs. While Elizabeth was manager of Collinsville Senior Center she befriended all its participants and organized activities and outings for their enjoyment. Her smile lingers and will always be remembered.
