Mrs. Billie Jean Little age 81, of Scottsboro passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023. Funeral services are set for 1pm Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from New Life Baptist Church in Fackler. Burial will be in Austell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Tuesday at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel. The body will lie-in-state from 12 until 1pm Wednesday at the church. W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel is in charge.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Guthrie, Tanya Little, and Toni (Todd) Miller; son, Tim (Deb) Little; sister, Betty Durham; brother, Robert Cookston; grandchildren, Danielle Evans, Ashley (Floyd) Miles, Dustin Little, Jeremy Little, Jeana Talley, Dylan Johnson, and Jessica Little; honorary granddaughter, Clodessa “Clo” Wright; great-grandchildren, Madison Brown, Jackson Case, Sienna Case, Traiven Wininger, Ava Garner, Hunter McClure, Bentlee Gilliam, Colton Little, Mallory Miles, Hunter Miles, and Mason Miles; great-great grandchild, Remmi Nelson; sister-in-law, Shirley McGee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Little; parents, Frank and Alta Cookson; brothers, George Cookson, Oscar Cookson, and Clyde Cookson; sisters, Pearl Curtis and Pauline Gass.
