Mr. Roger Ladon Sims age 77, of Rainsville passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023. Funeral services are set for 1pm Monday, April 24, 2023 from the W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with Bro. Cates Noles officiating. Burial will be in Nazareth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 until 8pm Sunday at the funeral home. W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel is in charge.
He is survived by his wife Marzell Kilgore Sims; daughter, Margie Sims; son, Robert (Regina) Sims; sisters, Ethelene Goggins and Mildred Dover; brother, Glen Sims; grandchildren, Scotty (Misty) Sims, Bobby (Christina Barr) Sims, Tracy (Phil) Vanryzin, and Robin (Adrian) Alonso; great-grandchildren, Kendall Sims, Colton Sims, Kennedy Sims, Rylee Barr, Paxton Vanryzin, Kiria Alonso, Adrianna Alonso, Natalia Alonso, Bella Alonso, Mia Alonso, Adliyah Alonso, Adrian Michael Alonso, Viviana Alonso, and Gianna Alonso.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lessie Sims; sisters, Eloise Freitas, Gracie McClendon, and Faye Johnson; brother, Ralph Sims.
