Mr. Billy Don Hopper age 80, of Dawson passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 4pm Sunday, May 7, 2023 from the Liberty Cemetery at McEstes with Bro. Jed Richey officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:30pm Sunday at the funeral home. W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel is in charge.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Hopper; sons, Phil (Cheryl) Hopper and Neil (Lori) Hopper; stepdaughter, Diedra (Greg) Preves; grandchildren, Timothy Hopper, Christian Hopper, Benjamin Hopper, Justin Swaney, and Alayna Bell; great-grandchild, Amelia Bell; sister-in-law, Melba Fincher.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Ruth Jacobs.
Mr. Hopper was a graduate of Emma Sansom High School where he played football, and was a avid Alabama fan.
